News is that Samsung has dropped the lawsuit against Apple which they had filed some time ago in the United States. This is not retreat, nor is Apple winning the case, according to Samsung it just needs to "streamline the legal proceedings".
Although this claim has been dropped but Samsung has promised that they will continue to defend and protect its intellectual property. Samsung has already other claims against Apple in South Korea, Japan, Germany and another one in the USA.
From what the word is the only possible reason could be that the suit was filed in a hurry and the case was underprepared.
